Summer TV

I Survived a Japanese Game Show, is my new favorite show. I know there is nothing on right now and that's good because I spend more times outside but this show is hilarious. If you don't laugh you must either be dead or you have some serious issues. Check it out it's on Tuesday at 8:00.

Also if you want to watch some great tv shows that are no longer on or on hiatus check out - Veronica Mars. I fell in love with show two summers ago and I still am sad it's no longer on. Also maybe we named our son Logan after Logan Echolls (okay we didn't but I wouldn't have minded).

Or How I Met Your Mother - Mike N. introduced it to us and I still need to rent season 1 because I've never seen it but it is seriously one of the funniest shows on tv. It's legendary.
Or 30 Rock - Mike N. also got me to watch this. I'd watched it just wasn't that into it but after the episode about the Black Crusaders I totally loved it. Oh and also the fact that Kenneth is a clogger.
I need to watch Arrested Development this summer because every raves about it and I think I've had 5 people tell me to watch it.

To Do List

Today's post is more for me than for anyone else but if you want to pick up one of these to do for me go on ahead.
  • Clean out rain gutters and take down Christmas lights
  • Mow lawn
  • Wash and clean out cars
  • Clean out garage
  • Make fliers for food drive
  • Deliver fliers for food drive (hopefully some YW will show up to help with this)
  • Go grocery shopping and plan out some meals
  • Eat lunch at Farmer's Market
  • Make e-vitation to 7th annual Handcart Day BBQ
  • Finish laundry
  • Trim the hedges

So what are you doing this weekend?

Things I'd rather be doing and maybe suggestions for you.

Going to Lavender Days down in Mona. More info here.

On my way to Lavender Days I'd like to stop at Star Mill in American Fork. See Tara Whitney's post about it here.

Visiting Lexi at her first job at Neilson's and eating a concrete. Might have to do that one even though it's not on the list.

Roast smores in my fire pit.

Sleep in till 11:00 (or even 7:00 would be nice).

Franchise Options

Took this photo while driving up to Island Park. I'm hoping this store becomes a national chain just for the name.

Island Park (Mosquito's Paradise)

I'm not sure if it is the time of year we went or if it's just a bad mosquito year but I'm covered in bites and I sprayed repellent every half hour. Also if I hear the word squeeter one more time I might die. It's mosquito not mosqueeter. I honestly think the mosquitoes were there to prevent us from saying it was an absolutely perfect trip, which it was minus the mosquitoes.

This was Logan's first camping trip and I think he enjoyed himself.

Here he is on the drive up. Good thing he has his paci to keep his glasses on.
Tad brought up Tim's kayak so he could work on his rolls in the water. He got to be pulled in a wagon by his 2 year old cousin Tayson. We did some backpacking.Did a little bit of driving around the campground. Our one family photo from the trip, it's in front of Mesa Falls but the photographer didn't get that in the photo.

This was my favorite part of the trip. There were fields all over of daisies so I had to plop Logan down in the middle of one.

We didn't make it into Yellowstone but I'm hoping we make one more trip up there so we can check it out.

POTM June {Before}

Last month Tara Whitney did a Project Of The Month (POTM). I loved how much hers turned out, you can see it here. So I wanted to do something but mine will probably mostly be cleaning or organizing projects. You're supposed to post the before pictures on the 1st of the month and the after pictures on the end of the month. Well whenever I would remember to take pictures it was all ready dark so I finally got around to taking pictures which hasn't been a problem since I hadn't even started on the project.

This is our garage aka glorified Tuff Shed because it's so small unless we own a Smart car a car can't fit into there.

We had to get all of our lawn furniture out over the weekend and it all ready looks better so maybe I will accomplish this project on time.

Father's Day Dutch Oven

We had a pretty full house for Father's Day. We did a dutch oven dinner which I thought turned out good. Here is almost everyone at the tables.
Logan sitting with Stokes. I think even though Logan is so small he's going to miss Stokes.
The Fuller Brothers and the MMB sitting around the fire pit. Look at those grins or smirks.
I'm a little sad this week because Teisha and Stokes are leaving on Thursday for Florida. I'm going to miss them not just because I love taking pictures of their kids. I didn't really get to visit with them on Sunday because I was cooking and then I had to clean up. I think they will love Florida and not just for the fact you do everything in your bikini there (grocery shop, mow the lawn, take kids to school, watch soccer games, and etc.). Don't forget to wear regular clothes when you fly back because we don't do that in Utah.
I also have to say that Tad was amazing this weekend. He put in the fire pit on Saturday and went to the Farmer's Market with me and helped set up for the party Sunday. He's the best!
Stayed tuned for tomorrow when I'll have some frightening POTM (project of the month) photos.

Park at your own risk

Last night YW was at my house. Seconds after we had the prayer, one of the leader's car got hit by someone driving by. I felt so bad but I have to keep telling myself it's no one's fault but the dumb driver that hit a parked car. They had to tow both cars away so if you come to my house you can totally park in our long narrow driveway.

What are you doing this weekend?

Well I can give you two suggestions. The Farmers Market starts on Saturday. I love it. I think I'm going to take FrontRunner down there and I'm hoping to get lots of healthy things to eat. If anyone else wants to go just let me know and maybe we'll drive down. You have to get there early though because things sell quickly. They also have lots of other great things like art, jewelery, soap, plants and purses too.

Also I saw this last week on a the best Utah blog site. If you ever are wondering what's going on in Utah, or looking for a good restaurant to go to or just some different stores, go to Your Heart Out. On Friday they are showing Goonies at a SLC park. We had something come up or I was going to take the 2 boys. Tad and I guess you could also say Logan have never seen Goonies. I know shocking. I don't know how you go through childhood not seeing that show. I was hoping Tad would finally understand what the truffle shuffle was. If you want more details about the showing or other Friday night park movies check it out here. I sure wish Davis County did cool stuff like SLC.

Not much happening

So last night we went to TRIO. I love this place. I hadn't been there for dinner and I think I ate my weight in food. I had the baked penne and some Parmesan flat bread. I think you could order anything there and it's awesome. Also it was double stamp day which I didn't know so another bonus.

We also watched Jumper. It looked really good and what I watched it was but I have narcolepsy or something because I never stay awake now.

Does anyone know when Summer is going to get here. This is the second week in a row that our YW activities have been rained out. I think it's only cool because I'm not pregnant. Last summer was in the 90s from May 1st until I delivered on October 16th. Maybe it will clear up by tonight.

Now for the riveting part of the post. Here is the crane that I talked about weeks ago that is right outside my window. I know you are probably all ready asleep just reading this. I don't know why but it's so distracting and at least once an hour I think the thing is going to crash into our building. These pictures were the day they were putting it together and it was very windy. I was worried a construction worker was going to be blown off.

Look at the guy climbing up the ladder. He isn't strapped in and when he climbed down he almost tripped on his rope he was carrying. Scary.

This is when they were trying to attach the long arm of the crane and it was very windy. Now some pictures of the cutest boy. Bevany - aren't you so excited to have one of these? They're a lot of fun but a total handful.

8 is Great!

Today is our 8th anniversary. Where has the time gone? It's been a fun 8 years and this has been our first year with a kid. I almost feel like we are starting over again. I feel like I've been pretty sappy about Tad on this blog so I don't have much to add. I'm actually more excited for a certain anniversary in September because that will be 10 years.
Below is a layout of pictures from our honeymoon. Oh how I wish we were in Puerto Vallarta now. Thanks Tad for putting up with me and all my quirks, I hope we have at least 80 more anniversaries.

. . . until we reach The Valley Ho!

Last week I was down in Phoenix for my firm's paralegal retreat. Even though it was for work it was a much needed break and I had a great time. I actually can't wait till next year's retreat. I hung out with Aisha for almost all of it and she is a great travel buddy. I'd never been to Phoenix and was totally blown away by how gorgeous it is and the flowers all over the place. We stayed at the Valley Ho Hotel and it is the closest I'll ever get to living in a Cary Grant movie.

Here is a view looking from my room.

Here is a view of the back of the rooms. I was on the top floor and each room has it's only balcony table and chairs and chaise. Wish I'd had more time to sit out there. Here is the lobby. We ate at Trader Vic's and it was SO GOOD. They have a location in Vegas that I want to go to the next time I'm there.

Here's the pool. I so regretted I didn't bring my suit but I laid out in Aisha's pj's.Here's my room. Loved the sliding door to the bathroom.

We also went shopping at this huge mall so we got to get a little fun in.
Here is my funny story. So on the taxi ride to the hotel our cab driver had a thick accent and he asked if we went swimming. At first I'm thinking he thought maybe Mormons don't swim then I realize he must have heard of cryptosporidium. So I tell him yeah we go swimming we just have to take extra precautions and all the pools have added extra filters and stuff to help keep people from getting sick. I really didn't want to get into the details because I'm sure the guy didn't really want to know the dirty details. Then Aisha leans over and says, I think he's talking about swimming in the Great Salt Lake. Duh! I felt so dumb and luckily by that time we were at our hotel.

DNA Results In

If there was ever a doubt that Logan wasn't a Fuller I'd bust out these photos. Someone left an empty Coke can out and someone went to it like a magnet. It's like it's in his DNA.

I love this second photo, it's like he's saying don't bother me I've got my Coke.

They actually listened and did what I said

Over Memorial Day weekend my cousins came down to go to Lagoon and I got to take pictures of Chris and Ginny for their engagement pictures. It was a lot of fun to play around and there's no pressure since they probably won't even use these because they wants some done with horses and their dog. These also look much better in person. I've posted in order from my very favorite on down.

Can't wait for the big date on August 22nd. Congrats you two!

She's All Grown Up

My favorite Mia Maid graduated from high school last Friday. I can say that because when I was in Mia Maids she was my only Mia Maid. I can't believe how fast time goes by and now she is getting ready to go up to the best school ever, University of Utah. She'll probably kill me when she sees this post since most pictures were taken at various girl's camps.

There have been a couple girls that were in her class but only for a short time before they moved so Melissa has always been her class president and usually our stake youth council representative. I know it was never fun having to plan activities with her leaders when she is the only one and having to attend BYC every month but she did a great job at it. She also served on Wood Cross City's Youth Council and got a scholarship for her service. Way to go!

Melissa is fun loving and always up for anything fun. Here is a DDR party the leaders had promised the girls that I can't remember what for. I just know it involved DDR and 7 layer dip.

Here is Melissa as Miss Congeniality at girl's camp. Her Yellowcard shirt also reminds me of the concert I went to with her. Well I should say she went to. Tad and I went but we locked our keys in the car and found out that not even the police could get it open so we were busy during the whole concert trying to get in our car while Melissa was rockin' out at the U.Here is as Miss Congeniality in 2006. Notice the tears of joy for winning. Hee!I can't believe this is the only picture I have of the two of us. We were in the bathrooms and Heber Valley Camp getting our facials and flashing our WX gangsta' signs. It's also been fun because Melissa went to the same jr. high and high school as me and had a lot of the same teachers so I could reminisce. I know Melissa is bound to do great things in her life. I know tuition is super expensive but I hope she will keep it a goal and continue to go to school and finish because I just feel so strongly that girls should have a good education and be able to support themselves. I also hope there are lots of hot boys in her classes for her but she can't get married till she's 28. CL!
