So I interrupt this blogging hiatus to tell you about the awesome ski/snowboard events coming to Utah the next two weekends.

Oh and if you are wondering nothing exciting going on at our house, I’ve watched LOTS of skiing from my couch and unless I have a huge following of people who want to talk everything skiing I’ll leave you with – Didier Cuche has won the downhill 2 weekends in a row! LOVE DIDIER!!! Logan even claims Didier as his friend. Maybe we should get out more.

This week coming to Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort are the FIS Freestyle World Championships. Usually this event is just moguls and aerials but this year they are trying to promote the ski halfpipe, ski cross and ski slopestyle to hopefully make it an Olympic sport so there will be a ton of great skiing to watch starting this Wednesday. We’ll make the annual hike up the bunny trail at Deer Valley to watch the moguls Saturday night.

Next weekend is the DEW TOUR! Sorry I really liked the Dew Tour last year so I’m so glad it’s back again this year at Snowbasin. This event will have superpipe and slopestyle for ski and snowboarding. I’m planning on attending the same events I did last year – finals for ski superpipe and final ski slopestyle. Plan on taking the free shuttle up to the resort (if coming from the South then use the Weber Canyon Park and Ride).

Each of these events has a free concert. In case you are interested it’s Julian Marley on February 2nd and Ice Cube on February 11th.

In case you are couch potato and would rather watch these from your family room click on the links.
